My passion lies in guiding others towards self-love and healing. Over the past two decades, I've dedicated myself to learning how to best serve those around me, while also nurturing my own personal growth. I firmly believe that there is no 'one size fits all 'approach to therapy, as each individual is unique and deserves a personalized journey towards healing.
I offer individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults using trauma-informed modalities such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Sand Tray, Expressive Arts, Play therapy, and mindfulness training. Whether you seek help for everyday developmental struggles or more traumatic life events, my playful, positive healing approach will help you or your child navigate through times of change, connect emotionally, and learn new behaviors to help foster resiliency. The key to success is having a solid therapeutic relationship and providing empathetic, compassionate, and knowledgeable interventions that work.
I have had the honor of working at the Claudia Black Young Adult Center at the Meadows, Specializing in the treatment of trauma and addiction. I have also had the privilege of being trained by leaders in the field, such as Claudia Black and Peter Levine.
My journey into the behavioral health field began in 2015 with the Arizona Children's Association, where I worked with a diverse population and various needs. In 2019, I transitioned to private practice with Happy Health Care. During my time at Happy Health Care, I have expanded my clinical specialties and therapeutic repertoire under the mentorship of Heidi Kaminski, an expert trained by leaders such as Claudia Black and Peter Levine.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress. I provide a safe and inviting space for individuals and families to grow and build resilience. My approach incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, EMDR, Safe and Sound Protocol, IFS, Expressive Arts, and Play Therapy, all grounded in a trauma-informed care perspective.
The cornerstone of therapy is a solid therapeutic relationship rooted in compassion, empathy, and sound therapeutic interventions. Therefore, I treat each client case-by-case, creating a unique treatment plan tailored to the individual's and family's needs.
I am dedicated to creating a unique, safe, and vulnerable space for each individual or family. Together, we will build resilience and life skills to help you and your family face life's struggles and challenges. Remember, you are not alone and are capable of achieving great things!
I am passionate about working with young children and their families. I bring over ten years of experience providing support, including for those affected by the foster care system. My expertise lies in attachment and developmental trauma, and I have extensive knowledge of sensory integration and the mind-body connection.
Play is a child's natural language and a crucial means of processing their experiences. Therefore, I utilize various play-based modalities to create a safe and familiar environment for your child to communicate and process complex thoughts and feelings. My approach incorporates directive and non-directive play, expressive and creative arts, sand trays, and mindfulness activities.
I strongly believe in the importance of including caregivers in the therapy process. The parent-child relationship is a vital component of therapy with young children. By involving you in your child's therapeutic play process, I can help you gain a deeper understanding of their worldview. Together, we can identify strategies to support their unique social, emotional, and developmental needs. With your active involvement, your child can achieve remarkable progress.
Additionally, I am a trained Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) assessor. This assessment provides a detailed understanding of your child's central nervous system functioning and how their brain's unique wiring may influence their behaviors. If you are interested in this assessment for your child, I can guide you in utilizing the information to promote their optimal psychological, social, and emotional development.
